~ Performers of Olden-Day Plays and Traditional Tales ~ The Leigh Mummers is a drama group dedicated to the performance of traditional-style folklore stories. We are based around the Southend-on-Sea area and are run by a committee although every part of our production, from writing to performance is a group effort!

What's In A Name? As a response to questioning about our name, and specifically the "mummers" bit, one of our group has written a short message concerning the origins of the word together with what we're all about. Click on this piece of text for more details.
